Sue Bain – Family Support Worker
I work at St-Marys - Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday until midday.
My role is varied and I am here to offer support where needed for pupils and parents. I can support with parenting skills, emotional wellbeing and where more specialist help is required, I can refer to outside agencies.
I am a qualified ELSA (Emotional Literacy Support Assistant) and work with children in small groups or individually.
Throughout the year I organise Adult Learning Courses/ workshops which are designed to help parents to support their child’s learning in school.
Sometimes there may be things outside of school that can impact on a childs emotional wellbeing - please call in for a chat and a cuppa I have good listening ears!
You will see me on the playground most mornings when I am in, feel free to pop and have a chat or to organise a meeting if you need any support.
