Christingle Celebrations 2024

Our  Christingle service at St Mary's Chruch brought pupils, parents and community together to share in the joy of Christmas and support vulnerable children. It was great to see families who support us each year, but also to welcome back some old pupils for the occasion.

Worship was led by our Etho Group and prayers were written by the children. Rev Simon engaged us all by dressing up as a Christingle to share the meaning of each part of the Christingle.

We all had a great time, but even better was being reminded of the true meaning of Christmas

Dear Lord

Help us to remember on the special occasion what Christingle means:-

An Orange- Represents our world

Red Ribbon- Represents your blood

Cocktail sticks and Fruits- Represent our seasons and the fruits that are bore.

Finally, The Candle is YOU. Jesus- our Light of The World.

Please remember how we want and need to be like Jesus and care not only for ourselves but each other too.

Thank you, Lord.
